BEST SKIING MOUNTAIN (As voted in “Best of Summit 2008″)
1. Breckenridge
Breckenridge is the perfect skiing mountain and Breckenridge Real Estate is the perfect place for a ski home, with something to satisfy
everyone, whether they are complete beginners or experienced skiers.
Midday grooming allows you the opportunity to make first tracks, even
if you only got up at lunchtime and there is a large selection of runs,
varying in steepness for different abilities. Fancy more of a challenge? Go
to the top of the mountain and try out some of the bowls or the mogul
fields on peak 10. Oh, and there’s no need to worry about taking that
T-bar: Breckenridge’s Imperial lift is the highest in North America and
will take you right to the top (barring the 150 ft hike you can do to really
feel like you’re standing on top of the world). Throw in terrain parks of
varying sizes for freestyle skiers, including the biggest jumps in the USA,
cafes on the mountain and the new gondola to get you up and started
and you’ve got some great days to look forward to during the ski season.
2. Copper Mountain
3. Arapahoe Basin
And then of course, there is still Keystone, which is another epic destination of world class caliber, and it did not even crack the top three. That is how awesome Summit County Skiing is. And nearby (but not in the county) are Vail, Beaver Creek and Loveland!!! Wow, if you like to ski or snowboard, this place is the AMAZING!!!
