Breckenridge – The Rubber Duck races returned to the cool, clear water of the Blue River in Downtown Breckenridge on Saturday, August 30th. Three competitions were held as follows: the Comcast Kids Duck Dash setting the pace at 2 p.m. in the first race of the day. The FirstBank Business Battle Duck Race at 3 p.m. and the spectacular Myriam Enterprises Great Rubber Duck Race held at 4 p.m. Many great prizes were awarded in addition to live music, BBQ and children’s amusments throughout the entire day in a great family setting that Breckenridge is famous for.
There were over 10,000 ducks sold and released into the Blue River. The beneficiary of the proceeds of the race is the Summit Foundation. The Grand Prize was a 2 Year Lease on a 2008 Jeep Liberty donated by Vista Auto Group. Below are some pictures of the Duck Races.
